Ash Wednesday---Sonic Wednesday

It is Ash Wednesday today---just finished running the power point for the 11am service. It is also Sonic Wednesday----I get to go and hang out with some of our High School students after school--this is the second one that I have done--last week we had 7 students. I am looking forward to see who shows up this week---had a great time just talking and building relationships. I have not done a very good job of doing that during the 1st year here---so I am trying to fix some of the things that I have not done a very good job at this 1st year. Starting in May we will be changing up the format of our Sunday night program---stay tuned for more info on those changes.

My First Blog

This is my first blog posting ever!!!I have decided to jump into the world of blogging because I feel like I have something to contribute. I don't know if anyone will read them but I am going to use this to communicate to students and anyone else interested in Youth Ministry. I am the Director of Youth and Their Families at Calvary Lutheran Church in Apollo Beach, FL. The name of our youth program is called The Journey. We are celebrating our 1st birthday this coming Sunday March 1st, with a messy night, birthday cake, and newly designed t-shirts that we will be selling for $5. I am looking forward to what our 2nd year has in store for us and I am praying that God will continue to bless the ministry here.
